Many clients have said having their eyebrows tattooed has been the best thing they ever did, which we always love to hear!
It is important that from start to finish you are comfortable with the clinic and technician who is treating you. If you decide that Medicare is the clinic for you, this is what you can expect…

FREE consultation

On this day you will meet with one of our technicians. The entire treatment will be explained in depth and we urge you to ask any and all questions you may have. We will go through the procedure, shapes, and looks you wish to achieve.

You will have a patch test to determine whether you will be allergic to the pigment that we use for tattooing.
We will ask you about your medical history to ensure you are a suitable candidate for the treatment. If you are unsure which technician you wish to go with we will be able to help on the day of consultation! An appointment will be arranged for you to have the treatment and then the exciting part begins!
You will receive a pre-treatment letter which includes everything you would need to know about the treatment. You will be asked to fill in an online consultation form if you want to proceed with the treatment.

Treatment day

You will arrive at your appointment time and your technician will take you into the treatment room. We will discuss again shapes and styles of eyebrows that would be appropriate. We will assess your skin tone, hair colour, eye colour and age and decide on a suitable shade pigment to use.
Your technician will then draw on a template which you both would agree on. Nothing is ever tattooed until both a client and the technician agree.
Treatments usually take 60 minutes, during which some slight discomfort may be experienced. A numbing cream can is applied during to keep pain to a minimum.
Immediately after the treatment redness around the area is normal. This usually subsides within 1-2 hours. The pigment will be darker immediately but will heal softer and more natural.

The healing process

Healing typically takes 7-10 days. It can take longer (up to 2 weeks) for older clients, clients on medication and slow healers. We ask that you do not get your eyebrows wet, even in the shower. If the area becomes wet immediately pat dry with a clean towel.

Your eyebrows will become flaky and itchy after 2-4 days. Flaking will come away in small parts. You shouldn’t put anything on them or pick at the area.

Once the flaking has completely come away and the area feels normal to touch, the surface area has healed. You will notice the pigment has became lighter and softer looking. It is normal for some areas to be patchy, if the colour is too light or you wish to adjust the shape, this can be done ar your second treatment.

The second appointment

This appointment is deemed part of your initial treatment. The process is not complete until you have had this second treatment. Your second treatment is 4-6 weeks after your first one.
As stated above, this appointment is to make any adjustments to the area, colour choice, shape etc. Healing following this is the same as after the first treatment.

Colour boosts

As we use pigment and not ink, colour will fade over time. This means all clients must return for a colour boost appointment to restore colour. These colour boost appointments should occur every 6-12 months.
It is at the clients discretion to call and make this appointment whenever they feel ready!
